Nervous on the freeway?
when i forst got it i was on the highway doing 110 and my g/f looked at my speed and i'm like oh ****... I didnt even notice since i was on a long strait freeway. Only scared of them copz..
If you are driving on a good flat freeway, even with both hands off the steering wheel, the car would still go straight and remain very stable at 80+ mph
Disclaimer : I do not promote driving over the speed limit, nor driving with hands off the wheel

Thanks for all the feedback guys!
I think I have may have been confusing in the initial post. The first car I drove didn't exhibit any nervousness, but I also didn't get to drive it on the freeway.
I went back and did that tonight. It's much better than Car #2 was.
I've been riding bikes for years, so I'm familiar with vehicles that follow where you look, and also with road crown affect on a car's ability to go straight.
At any rate, it's clear now that Car #2 had been beat on and was in dire need of an alignment.
The freeway ride comfort is still borderline for me, but I'm thinking the Advans are to blame for that. They've got a *very* stiff sidewall.
Thanks again!

I agree with alot of what the guys (and or girls) are saying. These cars are pure rally breed race cars that are made to handle, and handle they do. It WILL go where you look. Just think about turning and it starts to turn. It's not the car to be day dreaming in. That's why it has no cruise control and small *** dixie cup size cup holders.
wants you to be paying attention when behind the EVO wheel. If you want a great handling car then the EVO is your car. If you want something a bit more layed back, the kind you can drive half awake, i'd put your money down on something else.
But it sure is nice beating up on Mustang's and bringing along a few friends and a child's seat to witness it.

You may want to take a look at the wheel alignment. If the front wheels are not lined up straight the car will drift over towards the right or left depending on if the alignment is towards the right or left. My car had that same problem & it was the alignment. If its not the alignment then I dont know what it is.
Thanks for the candor!
Just wanted to post that I appreciate all the honest feedback.
I ended up going with a 2000 Vette for about the same money that a deal on a new Evo would've cost. It's much smoother on the freeway and has gobs of low end oomph which better suits my driving preference.
Not a fair comparison, and really not even the same kind of car, but it ended up being a better fit for me. Lack of a back seat is a non-issue in my case.
Thanks again!
