Ball Joint Leak!

Has anyone had their Rear upper control arm ball joints leaking - worn out?

I've searched on the forum for just the ball joint, but it seems the only way is to replace the whole arm for close to $300 each .

My Evo was bought April of '03, and getting close to 80K now.

If anyone knows an aftermarket ball joint that fits - please let me know. Thanks!

go to the dealership and get new boots. then go to napa or autoparts store and get balljoint grease. i just did mine but it was the rear swing arm boots. you can just pop the boots off and fill the new boot with grease and slide the new one on. the boots have a clip already in the boot already. my car was clunking in the rear and i checked it out and the swing arm boots were torn and no grease left. i bought 6 boots and 6 clips and came to 86 bux. you don't need the clips as i didn't have to take out the balljoint. it would have saved me an extra 20 bux. just get boots. good luck.

Thank you for the info! Do you know the Mitsubishi part number to these boots?

I'm wondering if the rear swing arm joints are the same size as the rear upper control arm ones.
