Question about our brake pads
I just brought my Evo into the dealership today to get an early oil change done. And they did a 27 point inspection on my car and everything was alright except they said my car has 85% left on my brake pads whats the deal with that? Are they suppose to be wearing down that quick I mean I only have 2,535 miles on my car. I understand that they are Brembos and all but I am not putting my car under any harsh braking I use just as a daily driver. Are we able to use different brake pads that are a little more durable and wont leave as much brake dust on the rims.

the brembo brakes typically wear a lot more than normal street pads. since they brake better(i.e, more efficiently and grip better than typical street compounds) they will tend to wear slightly faster...if not much faster. at the same time, they will also wear down the rotors faster than normal pads. this is the compromise or trade-off that we choose with using the brembo brakes. if you want the brake pads to last longer...they will not brake as well. you can try the ebc kevlar brake pads...however i've heard many mixed reviews about them. last note...choose you're brake pads wisely and make sure you are using the pads for the conditions you drive. if you drive more aggressively...the brake pads you use are more likely to wear out faster. if you don't drive very aggresively....then you can use less aggresive brake pads...but at the sacrafice of braking ability.
