Ok so I just installed my Bilstein/Swift combo last week to replace my worn out stockers. I now have another problem, the knocking noise. This noise appears when I roll over speed bumps/rough pavement or I jerk the wheel back and forth sitting still or driving. This problem didn't just pop up I just thought that since my stock had 120,000 miles on them they were the cause of it. I was told to check wheel bearings and bushings, I think that its a tie rod end or ball joint. Any suggestions as I don't just wanna start throwing new parts on without and educated opinion?

sounds to me like top strut plate noise bearings worn on plate, or a sway bar link is lose check those first and have some one move the wheel for you while you check form where the noise is coming form.

I bought the struts mitchubishievo on here. He said they had 6k and I believe that. The struts came complete with top hats and springs which I am assuming only had 6k as well. I installed the Swift springs with the help of a local shops spring compressor. The top hats were tight as I checked that before installing the struts. I havent really checked anything else yet.

Disconnect the front sway bar links and take it for a bump check

Ok so I need to jack up the front end (both sides at the sametime), disconnect the sway bar links, and go for text drive. Got it!

I am really slacking on this noise problem... LOL! I did not look into it this weekend as I only had Sunday off. I spent the day driving my happy *** from Louisville, KY to Chicago to swap my interior for some IX interior that is and I quote "Minty mint." I am going to look into it on Thursday of this week so I will reply as soon as I figure it out. Sorry for the delay. I have been told by multiply sources now to check the sway bar links as they are known for going out I assume. That will be first thing on the aggenda...

My car just turned 69k last week.

I replaced my front sway endlinks with whiteline's thinking that would cure my noise, it didn't. I also replaced the swaybar bushings with poly one's, and checked the crown nuts to make sure they weren't loose. Nothing helped, noise still there.

Keep me posted.
