spring advice for ix mr

I was wondering what springs would be the best for a daily driver setup and to give the car a good lowered look. I heard a lot of bad thing about the tein sprins with the bilsteins. I am looking into Swift spec rs. Thanks

You already have mentioned it. Swift SpecR are great. GTWorx and RobiSpec are great too.

Can you tell us a little about the H&Rs starting with their spring rates? I had a set on my GTI, ages ago, and the worked out very well. The car was only lowered by ~.5" keeping its geometry intact. I noticed the review on the site mentions the stance and ride quality - two factors of limited importance to a sporting pilot. How would you compare the handling benefits of H&R to Swift, for example? TIA

Swift Spec-R....close thread haha. I got them on my MR greatest thing close to coil overs. Only difference is ur ride isn't ROUGH as hell on the streets, but still stiff enough for the track.

I run H&R on my SVTF, but I know the rates. I really don't like that H&R wont release their rates for the Evo (CT9A and X). I cannot recommend their springs or coil-overs without knowing more on them.

Totally agree. Hotchkis seems to slam all there import springs to the point where they handle like shat. After having hotchkis on my G35 Coupe, I swore I would never buy them again. I scrapped on everything and it was obvious they weren't dyno tested on the stock struts.

It got to the point where I clinched my butt cheeks when I saw upcoming bumps in the road.

I would recommend the Swift Sports over the Spec R's if your not autocrossing or tracking the car.
