tire question
are all seasonal tires worse then say tires that are specifically used for the winter? if i was buying winter tires should i buy winter ONLY tires and just change them with stock tires when winter is over? or would all seasonal tires be just as good? also what tires would u recommend? thx
a dedicated winter tire (a good one) will always be better than an all season tire (in snow and free at least). your best bet would be to call Neal at tire rack and see what he recommands for you based upon where you live and where you drive. on some area, a good all season tire will be enough while in other areas, snow tire will be the best way to go.

Blonde has outlined things pretty clearly. A dedicated use tire, be it summer or winter, will always work better in their intended weather conditions than an all-season tire.
I'm going to move this thread over to the Tire forum. You'll get an answer from Neal..the tire rack guy who moderates that forum.
