Alignment settings, stock Bilsteins

Hey guys,

Got my first road racing event next week and want to check my alignment before heading out.
I'll be running R-Spec semi-slicks on factory Bilstein struts and springs.

Don't trust the suspension shop as they don't do performance much.

What settings should I give them to dial it in to?

Cheers
Ben

Use the -2 camber bolt setting up front. That should give you a true camber of -1.8 to -2.3. I would dial in -1 to -1.5 in the rear. I prefer zero toe all around. Those are the settings I ran on my 8 with Z1 and Z1* tires on the Swifts and sway bars.

+1

I prefer a little more camber out back though. ~1.75 or so.

Cheers guys.
Would that be ok on the street too? Or would it chew tyres?
Not a daily, prob only 5-7k miles a year max.

On stock sways too. Just a rear strut brace.

I daily drove on my settings above. Heck, I do 5-7k a month. For a year, you'll be fine.

As a side, for the track day - make sure you have proper brake pads and fluid in there. The Evo generates a lot of heat and OEM cannot take track abuse.

Have just been recommended to try 2.0mm toe out at front.

Thoughts?

2.0MM toe out front and back will help turn in a lot.

The front end will bite siginificantly more with 2mm of toe out in front, but don't go too nuts as high speed stability will be sacrificed on a fast (60mph+) corner. It could get skittery and will tramline if the track surface is rough.

I like my toe zeroed but that's on bone stock GSR suspension but that's because of the terrible road quality we have in Quebec.
