Arrow Installing Tein S Tech springs

When Im installing the springs, how much of the bump stop do I trim?

I just got the Tein S springs tonight, thanks Gruppe-S ! Anyway, I want to install them tonight but I'll wait till tomorrow.

Anyway, any info you guy's would like to pass along would be helpfull. I installed springs on my Eclipse like 5yrs ago, but its been awhile....should I rent a free spring compressor, or just let fly....I'll probably pick up the cormpresser tomorrow, but need to know about the bump stop , how much to trim...Thanks

BTW, will be taking pictures of this as I install them, so I can put a install guide up.....

bump bump...i need to know as well. Get a spring compressor. You dont want that nut flying into ur Evo by mistake or worse, someone or urself. Autozone rents them out for free anyway.

Well, I looked at the papers that came with the springs and it said "bump rubber cut" Front 1.3'' rear 1.2. And no * next to it, so I guess I/we cut the bottom part off...........Getting tools ready, going out to gargage in a few minutes Oh and I rented a spring compresser from shucks, $6. I didnt see/know that Auto Zone rented them for free And use a knife or razor blade to cut the bumpstops.........read:something sharp

Installed them last night. Took a little over 4hrs to do. I did the front first thinking it would be more difficult, but the rears took longer. Im going to do a show and tell with pictures soon. But need to sort through them and label them. I took many at first but was running out of time torwards the end so....anyway install was went ok, but I had a time limit so I was rushed at the end.......

I wanna see!! I'll probably bring it to a professional to get the bump stops and springs swapped but I'll take the suspension off myself. Thumbs up to you!

Looks Good,
Now be sure you get it aligned. The full value won't be felt until you do. Mine was off drastically and didn't handle properly before being aligned. Try -1.5 camber front, -.5 camber rear, zero toe all around. Worked for me and many others.

The Bump stop cut measurements are on a sheet that comes with your vehicle. It is very easy with a Dremel cut off wheel. You can purchase a spring compressor at Sears for $40. I may be selling my S-Techs (used two weeks) to fit 245 Hoosiers, if anyone is interested please PM me.
