I have a stock EVO, 6000 miles. No track days, 2 hard runs in the canyons. Ok heres the noise:
when i go over slight bumps / dips I hear the awful CLUNK come from the front end. Now, when I go around corners fast, NOT SCREAMING FAST, but you know .. spirited.... I hear the same CLUNK but I can FEEL it on my feet also. Then when I go around an opposite corner same thing happens to the other side.. CLUNK.
Is this the stiff suspension settling? Its been getting worse over time also... I am going to take it to the dealership but I want some leverage and knowledge when they tell me to go **** myself, theres nothing wrong with my car... which I know there definately is.
thank you.

i get a little clunking noise when i start in 1st gear and sometimes feather the clutch, i took it to the dealer and he said that sound is normal, he said the car is trying to get the best torque it can at that low speed thats why it makes the clunking sound? I have no idea if that is right or not cuz i dont know much about cars, but i figured my evos still under warranty so if you're unsure about yours, just take it into a dealer and have them test drive your car, and describe all that stuff have it on paper and if they say its normal, then you're set, and if it breaks later then you have proof that they jacked up.
