Help with fitment!

Ok so I bought 275/40/17 tires on a 9.5" 38 offset wheel from another forum guy who said they fit on the fronts no problem... Well he must have had stock suspension b/c i put them on and the tire hits my Megan coilover.. I put 15mm spacer on just to see if it would work, it cleared the coilover but now when I turn the wheel, the tire hits the side skirt/inner wheel well. Anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way to buy a shorter spring for the coilover so the tire clears it?? Help an Evo chick out please!!!

You'll probably have to run without the fender liner and trim the side skirt. Hard to see, but the side skirt is cut diagonally across for clearance. Thats a 9.5 +17 (10mm spacer up front) with a 265 tire.

**tire is on an incline, thats why it looks flat**

It would fit if I could modify the spring or something.. I have no clue what spacer size to buy to test it out and make it clear the coilover and then I would cut stuff if needed. Trying to see what my options are... I didn't think this guy I bought the wheels from had stock springs!!

You mean the wheel is hitting the coilover? Thats why you will probably have to run the 15mm spacer you tried on. It'll fit fine, you just have to run without a fender liner and cut the side skirts. If you run the 15mm spacer you'll be 9.5 +23 which is fine. All you need to do is take off the fender liner, cut your side skirts like in the picture, and an alignment. I assume your fenders are already rolled as well.

Front fenders are not rolled yet. And yes the wheel was hitting the coilover. So I would be taking off the splash guard right? That's easy, it's cutting the side skirt that's going to be hard since I can't do it myself

Yup, you'd have to run without the fender liner. Cutting the sideskirt isn't to hard, if you have a dremel thats all you need.

Nothing wrong with using spacers. Both the HKS Evo and Cyber Evo run large spacers. In case you haven't heard of them.

Here is a picture of the HKS Hypermax Evo's spacer

I'm sure you won't have an issue racing with a 15mm spacer.
