Brakes dragging after bleed

Hi guys, I accidentally posted about this in the drivetrain section initially without noticing, I thought I had fixed the problem for a while but now it's back, so I've decided to start a new post (in the proper section this time, lol)

2 weeks ago I installed stainless steel brake lines and flushed the brake fluid with new Motul RBF600. After that the brakes started dragging once they got warmed up. We bled the brakes again, but the problem persisted. In an act of desperation I removed one of the 2 anti-squeal shims on each pad. This fixed the problem until yesterday, when we bled the brakes again after I had hit ABS a few times and felt the pedal was mushy again. The brakes have started dragging again after a few stops. I opened one of the bleeder valves on the front calipers while the brakes were stuck and a bit of fluid came out, after which I was able to turn the wheel by hand.

What could be causing this residual pressure in the brake system? The semi-obvious culprit would seem to be the master cylinder, but everything was fine until I bled the brakes, why would it appear after bleeding?

Link to the thread I mistakenly made in the drivetrain section that may contain more information:

Thanks in advance.
