Okay I did search and admit my searching skills are less than desirable. I cannot find what I am looking for just got more confused.
First I am not looking for huge whp numbers (300-350) so my build is getting close to being done. I will then start working on the suspension.
My thing is I want to stay at or close to stock ride height. My understanding from the search I did was the MR suspension in the front is the same and the rear a slightly higher. Is that correct?
From what I read the MR suspension gives a softer ride but will increase my gripping/traction.
I am sure there is a better set up than stock MR but will the cost out way my needs? I do not track or race my car I just like to take it out and have fun and go places most fast cars cannot go (creek beds, dirt roads, whatever).
Will the MR suspension do, is there better cheaper?
What do I need? I need help; even links to threads from those who are better at searching will be helpful.

MR has same springs as GSR. Difference is the valving in the Blisteins over the KYB struts.
OEM MR suspension, untouched, is a great daily driver suspension. It uptakes road imperfections better. Allowing the tire more time on the ground, thus better traction for everyday use.
Edit add: And rebuildable. So when you off-road a little too much and damage the strut -- $75 rebuild.

Going where other fast cars can't go I managed to pack a load of wild oats into my 1g awd DSM radiator and intercooler. The way you get those seeds out is by removing the radiator and intercooler and picking the seeds out one at a time. So you might consider rigging some removable screening or something for the front end. The Evo looks like it would be more subject to this than my DSM was.
Sorry for the off the wall answer.

I'm confused as to what your actually asking here...? You want something thats gonna be higher or lower than where you are now?
MR Bilsteins are a great upgrade from the KYBs, matched with a set of GTWorx springs the car will handle very well, and sit as close as your gonna get to OE ride height with an aftermarket spring.
Save the off roading for your Subaru.

I will keep that in mind and watch for them.
On a side note when I first read your post I thought you said you sewed your wild oats

I basically do not want to get much lower than stock height. I want to sit just about the hieght I am now.
Whats wrong with going off road? The cars were built around that very idea. I am not rallying it through creek beds mind you, but I do like to take the evo to it's home roots and get a few good shots. With my new lip even at stock height it runs a risk of lightly scraping. Actually I did scrape it a little on a city maintained raod this morning.
I'll update the post later with an example photo when the photos I took today finish uploading.
Well, you might want a rally spec suspension if you keep that up

Well, when I got the car home from the above harvesting event (a farm road to a place I had visited before) I figured a little compressed air and all is well. Compressed air did nothing. By the time I had things cleaned the best I could the grass seed was all over the garage floor. Now, I notice wild oats growing under the bushes outside the garage. Originally Posted by Raistlin
