Brake bleeding preference
Was wondering what you guys prefer the most and why if you have used other methods? I was contemplating on using the Earl's solo-bleeds or gravity bleeding as the two man pump chump is annoying with no one decent enough to listen to my directions while bleeding....
I'm not interested in the motive bleeder due it being poly and which attracts air and moisture so it's not good for storing. Dumping out the unused fluid back to the original container will only pick up more moisture from the air.

I will give you a great method that I do nearly everyday at work as a tech for lexus. Get some long clear hose to attach to the bleeder and run it into a vented bottle with the other end of the hose submerged in brake fluid. When you are running your hose make sure it doesnt come straight down directly off the bleeder. Route it upwards towards the suspension of the car so its going straight up this way bubbles dont want to stay inside the caliper. You can have your drain bottle on the ground but as long as the hose goes up for atleast 6 iches directly off the caliper before it comes down to the drain bottle you will be fine. Take a full bottle of brake fluid and flip it upside down on top of the master cylinder resovoir to keep plenty of fluid in the master Cyl. (it will not spill everywhere and be sure to check periodically throughout the process so it doesnt go empty.) Crack the bleeder and then go inside the car and just keep pumping the brakes until you have no air coming out of your clear hose. You can stop pumping mid way to check for bubbles in the clear line. Once you get the air out, close the bleeder, remove hose and move to the next cailiper.
I go in this order: RR, LR, FR, FL.
This method has always worked for me and everyone I told. If you do it correctly then it will take less than 15 minutes to bleed an entire system 100%. It will use more fluid than bleeding a system with 2 people but it takes 1/10th the time and thats more worth it for me.

Less than 15 minutes all 4 corners by myself. It is a must have tool for any automotive enthusiast.
Bleed order
1. Passenger's side rear outside nipple
2. Passenger's side rear inside nipple
3. Driver's side front outside nipple
4. Driver's side front inside nipple
5. Driver's side rear outside nipple
6. Driver's side rear inside nipple
7. Passenger's side front outside nipple
8. Passenger's side front inside nipple
Doing it in that order is specific to the Evo and does make a huge difference to do it this way. Got it from this site http://www.joe250.com/cars/evo8/evo8.html

pretty much.. in other words, you bleed the farthest caliper away from the brake master cyclinder first and move to the next one and then ending with the closest one to it.

How does that answer the OP question? I know how to bleed brakes. I'm asking what you guys prefer; gravity bleed, speed bleeders/solo-bleeders, or the two person method.
Trending Topics
I've tried this one man bleeder I bought at Advanced that was gravity. It works when you don't want air in the system but how my brakes felt after doing it was very smooch. Like the car didn't brake until the very end of the pedal and if I pump the pedal, it would feel normal but I would have to pump it each time I wanted to stop. I almost hit a car because my pedal went to the floor and the brakes were not fully biting so I had a friend pump while I bled.
I was watching for air bubbles to come out and there was none. When I was done, I test drove the car and the pedals felt much better. Now, I don't trust ANY one man bleeders after that. 2 man is always the best option.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
First off, you don't store brake fluid. Once open its use it or loose it. Don't need to use a lot either. Just enough to bleed out old stock.
Motive is great for once person jobs or cars with a lot of bleeders.

What's wrong with the motive blessed again? What other wadis there to bleed? Pressurize or pump. Either speed bleed yourself which takes forever. Or get a friend who is competent in basic mechanics to either pump or open.
I used a motive unit myself and have it stored empty and dry.
