why do you want to run wider wheels in the rear?

it's the cool thing to do.

@op - make sure the tire circumference is the same in the front / rear if you run wider tires. it will wreak havoc on the drivetrain if it isnt.

also, staggered tires are pointless on awd cars

This question better asked in that "Stance" thread. Those followers dont care too much about function

Personally, would never consider running a staggered set-up on an AWD'r

Well frist I don't really know much about rims so can you tell what does staggerd mean and the tires all have to be the same

Stick with 17" or else you will have to roll fenders and things like that. and if you do a staggered size it will screw up your car

you do not run different tire sizes or different wheel sizes on real time AWD car, or you going to kill ur drivetrain...you want function? stick with 17x9 rpf1

It's not different tire or wheel size it's 255/35/18 and the rims are all 18 inch it just a 9.5 and a 10.5 that's all

why then? the 10.5 will still be a bit heavy than the 9.5 and a different rotational mass.

if they came from a rwd car, then do not get them as they are not made for awd. rpf1 are really good wheels, but its not worth ruining your drivetrain. are they staggered?

You noted you are concerned about function

IMO. You will never fit a 10.5 wheel on a stock body EVO. Some non-functional's run them but do not enjoy the full stroke of their suspensions. Unless you have a body kit or some highly modded rear fender, the 10.5's wont fit

Also, IMO, Dont run this fringe staggered set-up. Leave that to the "Stance" crowd

Below is a picture of a car where the rear strut has been removed & the wheel & tire pushed fully into the well. This was done during tire clearancing, proving no rub after a fender roll & pull.

BTW, I see youre in NY. Batten down the hatches Bro.
