brake booster

is it possible that brake booster is half way broken??

that's how it is, when i built my car i put hawk hp+ pads all over with cryo rotors and ate racing brake fluid, brake pedal felted more stiff than other cars but braking power was just awesome so i didn't really care bout it, finally damn squeaking tired me too much so i switched to hps, it is just huge change into bad, pedal still travels short, it's hard and car does not really brake like it has any kind of performance brakes, after 2 days ago when i drove my buddies turboe'd is300, wrx and RS on same hps i know there is something wrong with my brake system, i unhooked vacuum line from booster and pedal became hard as rock so booster is kind of working.....maybe im missing something, what are your suggestions???

Yeah, possible. I thought this had happened to me (not on my Evo) and changed boosters. That wasn't it.

You were happy with the car's stopping power before you changed pads. That makes me think the pads you have on now have less bite. I never was a fan of Hawk pads, the good ones make too much noise. Maybe try another brand.
