touchup paint

do they make touchup paint like they make paint pens for ours cars for the red calipers? theres a few scrapes on my calipers that concern me.. isnt it true that once the caliper under the paint is exposed to the outside the caliper starts to turn pinkish?

I've been touching mine up with guards red testors model paint. Has worked like a charm. Just use a good brush and make several light coats. It will be unnoticed by anyone bit yourself lol

I would say powder coating is the way to go. I haven't gotten my brakes done yet, but I just got my BBS' done a little while ago and gloss black looks awesome on them!!

It is, but if there are just a few chips as on my 10k mile evo x yanking the calipers off for powdercoating once a year isnt an option. For some reason the Brembo red is about as junky as it gets, the gold calipers are much more resistant to chipping and discoloration. I plan to ditch the stock brake components in the future and sell the stockers to someone looking to upgrade to evo components.

The pinkish colour is just the red showing through with no clearcoat. I wet sanded my calipers down a few years ago and applied a heat resistant clearcoat which brought the bright red back to life. Of course the powder coating option is best if it's done right
