curent suspension is:
Dunlop starspecs
bilstein with Robi springs
full energy suspension bushing kit
whiteline RCK

car is a DD with a few HDPE days thrown in
if I did the front SB I would also do the rear

For those who have an upgraded FWB, is it a worthwhile upgrade if I plan on tracking car a bit more?

I like my current setup, however I figured for $187 it might be worth doing
considering the labor will be cake while engine is out.

Whiteline front bar and Progress/Perrin rear bar -- great setup and can be tuned for the track/surface.

 

im regretting that i didn't install front sway when my engine was out. but i was running NASA TTA class at the time and i thought it would be more beneficial to use the +2 mod point else where. now that i'm setting the car up for TTS class, i have no restriction on mods. if you're thinking of doing it down the road, do it now while you have a chance.

I just installed my front bar yesterday when I was doing my clutch. I'm excited to see what it does!!

 

If you are going to do it, do it now, real PITA as a stand alone job.

I got the Whiteline unit. Little better turn-in response, some improvement in overall roll control, and combined with the upgraded rear diff I think it helps with rotating the car under throttle.

I have been through many steps along the way, and the FSB like almost every other suspension part I have changed/upgraded has offered improvement by degrees. The only thing that has caused a huge change in the car for one mod has been the rear diff upgrade. That was a game changer on corner apex-exit.

 

Agree with Jim.

It's a modification of degrees and feel. Not massive night/day; however, very noticeable and as I mentioned - with a good rear bar you can tune for the track surface.

 

Once you get into the range of high spring rates (12/16k), you may find a bigger rear bar just isnt needed at all. I have one sitting on my shelf cause after the heavy rates, proper camber, and rear diff mods, I just didnt need any more rear bias.

Big front bar is absolutely needed with stickier tires. With the front MacStrut suspension you need as much roll resistance as possible.

 

I would opt for the robispec bar and get the cusco ladder mount for the lca. This gives tons of adjustment options for different surfaces & tire setups. You can go softer for wet/cold conditions or stiffer for high grip. Works very well imo.
