Need help! Tire question

So I got home last night to find my left rear tire had decided to pick up a huge chunk of metal right through the tread. The tires were already getting low so not a huge loss. But my question is can I throw on the spare & limp it to the tire store in the morning? I'm currently running a 235/40 R 18, and my concern is the ratio will be to far off & I'll destroy something. There looks to be about an 1" difference between the two. I also thought about running & getting a used tire put on the original Enkei rim but thought that might result in the same thing. Any input would be great from anyone. Thanks in advance.

Flat bed it for safety.

Sounds like you will be replacing all four tires. Sucks but that is the way it goes.

18's in any kind of decent rubber are gonna be expensive... better budget $200+/corner

youll be fine, a 23540 18 tire isnt much more then 1-2" overall diameter. our stock size is a 235 45 17 which od is close to a 235 40 18. Personally i would change tire sizes, a 235 40 18, is kind of an odd ball size, so prices and availability might be iffy. Personally I would go with a 245 40 18, much more common size, and honestly its same sidewall profile, with about 10mm wider across the tread. Just my 0.02

I thought about towing but it's gonna cost around $100. Just trying to save if I can. Anybody else?

Why not just take all 4 wheels off and take them to the shop?

This is my only vehicle. And while you can drive the tires off an Evo, it's hard to drive without them on. However, my brother in law has a truck & gets back in town tomorrow so that is what I'm going to do. Thanks to all that responded. MODS please close thread.
