For a decent summer tire that is economical I've always liked the dunlop direzzas 101.

I really liked driving them in testing. BFG really improved the wet traction and dry grip compared to the previous version. Been quite popular lately. Call me when ready!

for a summer tire, regardless of budget, i dont think you can go wrong with the Hankook RS3. also like star specs but they are more $$$

I had the original BFG sports for probably 2 years, and i am now on comp 2's. I am happy with tread life as well as the grip. The only issue i have with them is a vibration for the first couple miles when the tires are cold.

That's common during the first couple of miles for tires that use nylon in their sidewalls. No biggie.

I bought the sport comp-2's about 3 weeks ago... so far I love them! Tread wear is great, road noise is really quiet and they grip really really well. I have yet to under steer with them and I drive winding canyon roads every weekend...
