Slotted rotors and pads

I want to get some slotted rotors for my car, and some new brake pads. I've been reading about the Carbotech Bobcats, and I don't want those pads anymore.

What pads do you guys recommend, and does anyone make an aftermarket affordable slotted rotor?

BTW, I was going to use Motul brake fluid. What do you guys use?

EBC makes very good pads. They also sell slotted rotors, but I'm not really hip on their design. I keep meaning to email powerslot to see if they plan on makin slotted rotors for the evo.

Those are a great design, but ouch! Little heavy on the pocket book.

They are les $$'s than any JDM 2 piece rotors. I shopped long and hard I roadrace my EVO...saving over 10lbs. of unsprung roatating weight for less than the cost of replacement Brembos and then only replacing the friction surface (about 150.00 per corner) when (not if) it's needed.... was too good to pass up. I'd be interested if you could find a cheaper/less expensive system post the choice (I don't think there's a less expensive system out there)...But I've been wrong before...

Porterfield is a good brand too. Is this for street and track?

I've heard nothing but bad about EBC pads. No improvement over stock.

Does porterfield make a pad for the EVO? This is for a street car.

I want to fully exploit my Brembos

Yes, Porterfield makes pads for the Evolution 8. Check our thread in the Classified, called Brake System Components
