Snow and Wheel Balancing
I was out driving this morning (plenty of snow in the last 48 hours here in the Twin Cities) and noticed extreme vibration in the drivetrain - steering wheel was shaking, car was pulling, etc...
Turns out I had a build up of ice/slush on the front driver's wheel - it was packed. I cleaned it out and viola - normal drivability returned. So in case you are experiencing the same - try cleaning your wheels first and see if that brings them back into balance.

Yep, with light unsprung weight on our suspension and wheel components you will notice a major difference when unbalanced weight is added. I learned this the first snow fall a few months back.

I had the same problem with my '92 Galant VR-4. Used it to break path for other vehicles in parking lot. About 25 miles of driving on highway, less than 50 MPH, with a combination of heat build-up and centrifugal force took care of the packed snow.
just happened to my yesterday, glad i found this post. I let it sit in a heated garage overnight and i have no problems now. I almost thought i had a loose tie bar, bent rim or horrible alignment!
