outer tie rod different sizes?

outer tie rod different sizes?
so I was going to put my whiteline tie rod ends on this evening, and got the driverside on with no issue, however the passenger side had a smaller sized outer tie rod? how does this happen? will this require changeing out the whole passenger side tie rod, to fit the whiteline outer tie rod end/ball joint? This is some bad luck........

what are the original equipment measurements? anyone know? and the thread size/pitch of both the inner thread and outer thread? all the stores around town want to replace the passenger side inner tie rod with the same rod, that is smaller then the thread for the whiteline tie rod end?
