Weird bilstein install issue

I was trying to install a set of Evo MR bilstein front struts on my evo 9 and the strut length is way longer than stock and it doesnt align with the 2 bolt holes on the hub. It sits like 2 inches below it should be sitting. the strut mount bolts are tight so no more room to move up. any ideas ? do I have the wrong set of bilsteins ?

the stamped #'s on the bilstein is

MN101890
3905VE3 A900T0

in the 2nd pic you can see the height difference between the tein coilovers that came off the car and the bilsteins I want to install. both are standing on the floor and the sturt mount on the bilsteins sits 2" higher than the coilovers.

coilovers are always a lot shorter with less drop out. you need to have someone push down on the front lower control arm while you get a bolt in the lower holes. they will go in and they do look correct. the part # is also correct. with the rears you will most likely have to unbolt the lower lateral link to get the lower bolt in.

Based on experience, the MR bilstein shocks are identical to stock shocks in terms of physical dimensions. Did you try to lower the hub to mate the shock?

thats guys, that worked. Just needed a little force to push the hub down to line it up...
