help! tail wagging at speed/braking.
You have to get under the car and start checking all the bushings. Start with the big ones, check them visually then use a pry bar of some sort and see if you can move them around. Also a weak bushing even when new is on the rear trailing arm.

i already have a prybar in the trunk.
i dont think its bushing related at all,i have cusco sphericals all round on my track evo and mine does the tail wagging too,ive gotten used to it and wait till it wags in the right direction before turning in,to me its more weight shift related,i never had it on harder springs but when i softened up the front of the car it came back
op,my first check would be for a dead strut if your on stock suspension
i would also check your alignment,i run my car toe out in the rear so that would explain my wagging but if your getting a crazy amount of weight transfer then the car will pitch giving you more rake and therefore effectively lighter rear end

a dead strut is possible seeing how they are original and high-mileage.. but i get no strange bounces or other behavior during normal driving or speed bumps.
springs are going on soon, though. i'll test the struts then.
That's normal to a certain extent, since lifting off the throttle puts more weight on the front and lightens the rear, which can make it a bit more unstable. Can you get a video of it doing this on the on-ramp you mentioned? Seeing how bad it is could help some people here tell you if it looks normal or not.

if this is normal, then these are one of the worst-handling cars i've ever driven. i've never had a car do this, my last Evo didn't do it. so.. i have a hard time believing this is normal.
hm..
we'll see how it goes.

Check the bushings all the way around. At 113k with track time, issues with them are very possible.
Also, I find my Evo much more manageable under braking on track with matched pads f and r.

both Evos were exactly the same, yes. the freeway on ramps I take are far from the limit of traction, though. breaking at the track was, however. almost to the point of ABS.
