Bbs and volk may crack to but not at the rate of an rpf1 or rota. You can't tell me that a cast aluminum wheel is stronger and more reliable than a fully forged volk ce28..

Well I havent bent my RPF1s yet...... And I have bent two forged MR BBS in the past, soo.....

(By making this post, Im not saying cast rim are stronger then forged. Just saying I have bent two high quality forged rims and not one RPF1 cast rim )

All I can say is let's say a brand new set of rota grids comes out to 1100 or so shipped.

You can get a nice set of quality used wheels lets say gramlights for 1500 maybe less.

When I was looking for wheels this was my thought. I ended up with gram 57dr, not only do they look good but they will also hold their value very well.

If you look you can find good deals on rpf1's for not much more than rotas. Rpf1's and gram lights are about the cheapest good wheels you'll find new. Occasionally you can find advan, Volk, works, for a steal. But you got to stay on the fs sections to catch them when posted.

I suggest you watch out for potholes... any wheels will crack if you hit it hard enough and dont have enough rubber for cushion. It would suck to bend/crack a $500+ wheel on a pothole.

I wanna make sure people know that the RPF1 is a good rim. I fly around the roads on the reservation all the time and some times I end up in the ditch. My RPF1s have taken many many trips in and outta the ditch with no problems. I also run 255/40/17 tires though. If you're in an area with a ton of pot holes drop down to a 17 inch rim. You're tires are the problem. The only people that can get away with them thin tires are the florida guys and maybe the las vegas guys. Any where that has snow plows you pretty much have to have some meaty tires.

40 series tires and avoid potholes... Your gonna crack / bend any rim with those skinny tires..
