Scratched one of my rims recently on my new Evo 8 on a curb over about a 30 degree arc. Scratches are on the outermost part of the rim on the "lip" that is just inboard of the tire. I am thinking about doing some agressive buffing and repainting that small part of the rim. Anyone have experience with this? If it's a good idea, can you recommend a paint?

P.S. Do not even try to drive in the snow with the stock "summer" tires.

Really good post on rim repair. I had a little accident with my car in the snow so im looking to do the same kinda repair once the weather gets better.
