i have tein flex's and im thinking about replacing them. i had tein ss-p's on my dc5 and had absolutely no problems with them, and they handled amazingly, but the evo is a different monster entirely.

the biggest problem i have run into is clunking coming from the rear and no matter what i do i cannot get the cars height balanced. its always higher on one side of the car than the other.

the clunking though is totally annoying. i just replaced the bushings in the rear on the lower control arm with whitelines and its still doing it. i quit, gonna save up and get some better coilovers.

i had the billstein/swift spring combo, and they are good but rough as hell.

Dang, if you considered that rough, then most coilovers must feel like riding on a skateboard to you.

FWIW, my bilstein/swift setup turned my Evo into the smoothest riding car I own.

Megan and Tein's are about the same in terms of ride quality and performance. Pick the color you like.

everyone always asks what the best coilovers are. but what about setting them up properly? isn't that more important than the difference between say KW's or Ohlins? i have never seen a conversation about adjusting them. do all of you guys have a pro adjust and corner balance you cars? it's kind of the point of running coilovers aint it?
