good spring/shock set up

right now i have the stock kybs and gtWorx springs. Im pretty sure my shocks are getting weak because of a small difference in the rear ride height (1/4"-1/2") so i might just redo the suspension. Im looking to maybe go a little lower in the process also. I heard the bilstein shocks and swift springs are a good setup. or would it be smarter to go with something like fortuneauto 500 coilovers. I actually kind of like the way my car rides but if things are starting to fail than i will change it. I mainly drive in the streets dont really go to the track My questions are.

should i leave what i have?

get coilovers?

get a good spring/shock combo?

Is it worth it to make the change over a small difference in ride height?

if it is a pure DD car,
just get replacement OEM shocks or if possible, find a good second hand set of Bilsteins.
they'll work perfectly with your GTWorx springs.
personally i'm running koni 2 way adjustible shocks with custom 10k springs (F+R) and they handle heaps good on track & once dampers are set to soft, are good for DD duties.

if you want to lower it more and do some track work, then spend the extra $$$ on coilovers.

i would just get a set of coilovers, you can find a decent set for fairly cheap. From my experience i have learned the hard way that i should have just spent the money on the coilivers from the start than just getting springs. Now, not only do i want to go lower, but i am getting clunk from my struts failing due to the newer springs. I have to switch to coiliovers and start from scratch. I will however get better handling and comfort from the coilovers adjustability.

First, shocks don't control ride height at all. Springs do.
Second... If you don't track the car, there is absolutely NO reason to get coilovers, especially the cheapies that are designed for lowering a car.

Third... if you're looking for a REALLY GOOD performance suspension for a street car, look no further than the stock MR suspension. Bilsteins, and factory springs.

Car ran 8:11 around the nurburgring. When you can do that, you can start shopping for better suspension.

Bilstein HD and Swift Spec R springs on my car ride smoother than my stock kyb suspension. Plenty of others seem to agree. If you stay with strut/shock/spring setup definitely look into the Bilsteins.

Bilsteins and GT Worx are a great all around setup. You won't win an STANCE competition though, so maybe not really ALL AROUND.
