his steps 7-9 seem to be more if you had a caliper disconnected.

ive done quick bleeds with the motive without those steps and had no issues. some insight tho...if you have to convert the hose over to the mitsu fitting cap, i think i wound up getting better brass fittings from home depot due to the included ones exploding on my dad...not sure tho.

i also dont crank the pressure way up as sometimes my cap will start to leak at the reservoir. usually run it in the 5-10psi range and you can basically just pop the bleed open and let it sit for 5 minutes and then your good to go.

Nate thanks for the info.

Are you all using the universal cap or the 0107 ford 3 prong one which appears to be the one for the evo? I just purchased one but apparently got the universal round cap by accident. Does this one work as well or should I definitely just stick with the 0107 ford one?

Correct I had my calipers completely off the car. I installed SS lines at the same time. Steps 7-9 are just from experience when putting on a new/completely drained caliper after initial bleeding pumping up the brakes with the car running allows normal brake pressure to go through the system and usually you get more air out before going for the first drive. After I bedded my brakes for the first time the pedal was a little soft and I got a little more air out after bleeding again. If you just flushing you can disregard those steps.

I bought the 0107 kit. I originally bought the universal and realized it later. Canceled my order and got the 0107. It should work but will be more difficult to get the cap on.

Gotcha, I appreciate you further explaining yourself

I thought I purchased the 0107 but when I got the package yesterday it showed 0101 aka universal fit.

Kinda bummed now bc I've gotta eat the shipping costs to get the 0107 so what I originally thought was $60 is now gunna cost me $80...According to Motive's site the universal one will work but I'd rather have the right one to ensure a perfect seal.

motive didnt have enough suction to do my calieprs when they were one dry after rebuild yesterday...had to use the good ol two person method.

the 0107 cap is definitely much better than the universal. the universal leaked on me on another car.
