Need a set of street pads

Did a search and it looks like a lot of people use the stoptech street pads with good results. Was curious about how the fit in the caliper? Any clunks due to the pads shifting within the caliper? Also don't really care for a "performance" type street pad would the centric posi-quiet be a better choice?

Last but not least, reuse the factory metal shim or not?

TIA

I don't use the oem shims and never had any squeaking/squealing or whatever issues with my stoptechs. Some folks on here will tell you to reuse them, and no harm in that. Ive never cared for using shims personally but that's just me.

I have not tried the centrics so cant comment on them.

Hawk HPS and Stoptech are very popular. Project Mu B Force is good too.

Thanks for the replies. How are the stoptechs on dust? Better/worse than the oem brembo pads?

Open to pretty much anything, just want a quiet pad.

stoptechs are quiet. they dust a bit (i can't compare to OEM because i only had the oem pads for a few thousand miles and it was all winter driving) but it's not excessive from what it seems and the dust is very easy to clean off

Im using the Stoptechs as well for dd and auto-x currently. I have no complaints about them whatsoever. I reused the factory shims gooped up the back and sized with brake grease bedded them in properly and they have not made a single peep.

They do dust but it is not terrible. In terms of bang for the buck as I said I have no complaints and they are also quite cheap.
