Electric brake coolers

I looked around and couldn't find anything in the 2 inch range for front brake cooling fans instead of running ducts. I saw a car that had a similar setup not sure if it was 2 1/4 or 2 1/2, but 3 inch for sure wouldn't work. Is there a kit out there or is it all custom?

Are you overheating your brakes on a regular basis?

If you aren't, you don't need or want to cool.your brakes further.

Track use only of course. Hoping I can just leave them and flip a switch for track days.

Don't know anyone using fans for cooling the brakes other than F1. Had you tried just running ducting to see if that's adequate?

call me old school but why don't you use brake rotors that help air ventilation and expel heat?

I'm pretty sure F1 only uses fans when the car is stationary. I've seen the teams even put tape over the duct to keep heat in the brakes. And if they need to they peel the tape off. I'm sure the aerodynamicists dont like the tape

Sorry big F1 fan here... Go Vettel GO!!!

Perhaps I was unclear. I am aware thats what F1 does.

^Haha amen to that brother

To the op, why the desire to cool your brakes with electric fans? Instead of the extra wiring and clutter why not just install a set of brake ducts? At speed I find it hard to believe a little fan would be able to flow as much air as a proper ducting setup anyway.

Seen it work great on a track car that went to english racing, unfortunately they didn't build the setup so they couldn't direct me.
I like factory oil cooler ducting, I dont want to compromise on the sleeper look. As a car that can serve dual duty I dont want to be taking ducts on and off for track days, rather flip a switch.

How/where would you mount the fans? They would have to be huge or really close to the caliper to move enough air for adequate cooling.

Would you try and get a smaller inline fan and mount it at the end of a caliper nozzle or something?

Yeah I was thinking something similar to a r/c car/helicopter motor should do the job but looking for a more specific one.
