Brake disc choice

I have been informed my brake discs are well under thickness. I am going to go the dba 4000 series on the rear but I am stuck between choosing the dba 4000 and the 5000 on the front.

The 4000 is one piece and the 5000 is two piece with aluminium top hat.

I am aware of the better heat dissipation with the 5000 but is there any thing else I need to be aware of.

At almost 2x the price for the 5000 ($900 for the 5000 compared to $480 for the 4000) it's making it a hard choice.

I haven't taken the car to the track but plan doing some light track in the future

If only doing "light track" use as you say, you'd be find putting blanks on all 4 corners for even less money.

I ended up ordering the 4000s all round. Might be a bit of overkill but hey (shrugs)

It's a great rotor and you'll enjoy them in that environment.

Got them through carmodsaustralia. I presume you can get dba disks in the US. What's their reputation over there?
