Which replacement tire(s) to get?
The Yoko is the quietest tire in its class (reason for the Db designation).. Good wet and dry traction, above average all season performance. Overall, a great practical performance tire for every day use.
The Pirelli has great dry traction and steering response. Its a bit more performance focused than the Yoko. Good in a light to minimal snow climate . Its a great tire if you crave a bit more performance handling. Isn't as quiet as the Yoko.

Super thin line between them really.. average life out of both is around 35-40K (smokey doughnuts aside
) The Pirelli would be quieter than the stock Advan.. but so would a ball bearing inside a coffee can hehe

I believe the P-Zero Nero M&S tires produced with Pirelli's new MIRS process have an outstanding 400 tread life. My guess is that Pirellis will be noisier than the stock Advans, if they're anything like the P7000 Supersports. Of course, if that's a problem, get a louder exhaust.
The Nero M&S is way quieter than the Advan. The 7000 Super Sports were a great dry tire, but lacked heavily in snow, tread ware, and noise. It wore fast and got louder the longer it wore. The M&S is a superb improvement over the 7000.

Neal,
I'm also considering the Nero M&S for my EVO. How do they compare to the Toyo Proxes 4? Thanks.

They dont suck, their just a different kind of performer than the Pirelli.
Yokos would be good for the person who dosent really push their car a lot, but if they do the tire can handle it. Also for someone who values a bit of creature comforts while enjoying performance at the same time.
The Pirelli is for the more performance based driver who dosent mind sacrificing some creature comforts for more performance.
Depends on what you really want out of it
