Question Question about offset and spacers

Hey guys,
I've spent the last 2 hours reading every post I could about wheels, spacers and off-set and still don't think I have all the info.
I'm buying wheels this week and don't want to get the same wheels as every other EVO owner and truthly I'm not totally crazy about the styles they have out for the car so far. Now I have down that we have a stock offset of 38mm and a hub size of 67mm with the lug pattern being 5 x 114.3. I know we have massive calipers which is the major problem and most people don't suggest spacers and extended bolts, but on offset what size will work? Example is 38mm and greater the size that will fit, meaning a wheel with a 40mm is cool or from what size to what size can I use? Also in the event I choose a wheel that doesn't fit do most places take the wheel back or can I always correct the problem with spacers? Do I then have to worry about rubbing since I have the Tein S-tech's and my car is supper low? I would love any help I can get and if someone knows if these wheels will fit I would really appreciate it?
