rear strut tower bar

I know this a rear strut tower bar is supposed to help with oversteer, but does it actually improve handling and cornering abilities or simply allow you to drift through corners with ease? I have yet to break my car in @300 miles, only 300 to go, but I was wondering if this is a smart mod, seems simple enough. Also, does the factory one work well if anyone has it? I suppose they would install at the dealer if I bought it there. Please let me know (anyone who has one) if this is a worthwhile investment or should I leave the car as is?? Thanks!!

i have a cusco one in my car and it did improve the handling. however, keep in mind that it will change that charactaristic of the car a bit so you might feel a bit strange at first. i think it is a great mod and i am happy i did mine. i am sure that the factory one works just the same but before you buy it please look at the price. OEM parts tend to have a higher price for lower quality and for less money you can get a cusco unit which looks better and is better made.

Thanks, should I leave the front stock tower brace with the cusco rear? Also, how much of the trunk carpet do I need to cut to install it? How long does it take to install? Sorry so many questions, but I am new with evo fever!

1) you can leave the stock brace or you can switch to an after markeyt unit that is lighter, looks better and is stiffer.

2) that is up to you. you can do the install with one cut that will look great but will take longer to make or you can cut a full square off and make things easier although not as clean.

3) should take you about 30mins but if you want to make it clean install might take longer.

i have the rear cf cusco strut bar with V brace and cusco trunk bar .
There great , to do the V brace it requires 2 people since after drilling, you need to jack up the car . Some one needs to hold the mounting bracket and some one else screw on .
I will post pics went i have the chance , as far as the strut bar lol just take your time that way you have a nice clean look went you cut in to the interior of the trunk . I really did't take my time , but then again i dont really care for the rear section how it looks. Will post pics tonight ....
