The MR came with Bilsteins. It is the touring version of the Evo and required a softer ride. The aftermarket Bilstein HD's are slightly stiffer than OEM Bilsteins. Bilsteins HD's loaded with Swift springs are said to provide good handling. The KYB shocks and struts are stiffer than either the OEM Bilsteins or the Bilstein HD's.

I have the original standard KYB still on my 9 with Whiteline sway bars front and rear, I would love to replace the shocks but I don't see any signs of wear yet so f it I'll leave them on until they wear out
