Wheel Fitment Question

As nice and beautiful as the Volk/Works/SSR wheels are for the EVO, I'm looking for something that is adequate for a set of race (autox) rims that are less expensive. I know the 5Zigen, Enkei and Team Dynamics wheels are quite a bit less, but I'd like to save even more money if possible.

My question is has anybody looked at or tried a set of 17x9 Mustang Cobra R rims for their EVO. They usually come in a 28mm offset and can be found cheaply new and are even available used.

Thanks,

Mark

Way wrong center bore and dont think those wheels will have the necessary caliper clearance by design.
