To anyone who bought the 2500 Ferodos for street use. Did you use any of the stock shims that came off the stock pads? I've got the Ferodos in my car now with no shims and I'm just wondering if it would be worth it to put the shims in to try and stop some of the light pedal pressure squealing.

yes.....use the shims from the stock pads. They help a little with noise. Spread a tiny bit of "anti-seize" thread lube between the shim and pad - carefull not to get any on the pad face or the rotor. Should help keep em quiet - either that or just drive at 10/10ths everywhere !!

There were two shims per pad on the stockers. How many of those? I can use the thin metal one but the thicker one is a little bent out of shape and probably won't work very good. I guess I'll just give it a try with the thin one with a little of that anti-squealing stuff. Thanks for the help

I used the metal shims with some anti noise compound and only get squeel in reverse so it's not a problem with me.
