Wheel advice

http://m.ebay.com/itm/17-17x9-5x114-...%257Ciid%253A2

Those are the wheels I'm looking at.
I'm needing a set of wheels to DAILY.
Looking at the spokes I don't think I'll have caliper clearance issues, I'm more concerned of the barrel of the wheel clearing the brake assembly. Any thoughts on this?

Should have no problem w/the barrel of the wheel clearing. I too run 17's & that is usually a non issue wtih the standard Brembos. Now, running a 6 pot caliper, that could be a prob.

I would be more concerned about the spokes clearing. You really need concave spokes to clear the Brembos. Not sure those spokes have enough sweep to them

As a reference, I run Rota P45R 17x9.5 +30 & the Advan RGII 17x9 +29 & they clear w/out spacers

If that is a pic of the actual rim, I don't think I'll have any issues with caliper clearance.
It looks pretty concave to me.
I would love to have a set of RG2s in 17x9 +29. Maybe one day after the rebuild is done I'll find a set.

I added a pic of the rim just in case the link doesn't work.

With that lip & +35 I really dont think they'll make it. I see the some spoke concaveness, I just dont think its enough for a +35 wheel

Be great if we could find someone whos tried them. Just be cautious & know a spacer maybe needed

I'm completely against running spacers. Maybe I can find someone out west(CA)to drive to the wheel place to test these for me, but at the price, I could easily resell them if They didn't fit.

Yea I had seen that thread after posting this one.
I just don't want to shell out any more money than need be for wheels I know are gonna get destroyed.
I've been eyeballing the 17x9 +25 Konig Hypergram also, just not sure if I want to run the 25 offset.
Car is lowered with Tein top hats, bilstein b8s and swift spec rs. So I'm afraid the 25 is going to stick out a little much. Plans are no bigger than a 255/40/17 all fenders lips are rolled.

^^^ I like the look, but I doubt they will fit over the front Brembos / Spec shows 17x9 +30
(theres no good way to tell whether a wheel will fit over the Brembos w/out a test fit) (From what we've seen, most wheels do not fit!)

I know you dont want to spend too much, but if you increase the overall expenditure to $900.00, you can get some new Rotas

Have you ever looked at the 5Zigen FNO1R's (17x9 +35). They fit w/out front spacers? A lot of EvOs run them

Well my problem with the Rotas are the offset. I'd really like to stick to a 17x9 and all the rota offsets are +25, but I'd like to run something closer to +30 if possible.

I have tried to find a set of FN01RCs but they are apparently worth their weight in gold.

How about the Rota DPT 17x9 +35. A lot of EvOs on those

They are discontinued now I believe. There is 1 set in Australia and they would be damn near 1300 shipped to my door, no way I'm paying that price for Rotas.
