Just Checking TireRack

For those of you looking for a more cost effective alternate to the oh-so-good Advan A046's, check out Tirerack.com for the Bridgestone 050a's in 235/45/17. I know these tires well, they are rather good, sticky rubber (140 treadwear) and a super stiff carcass. OEM fitment on many a Porsche and other high end vehicles. For 174 bucks a pop, it seems like a deal. Neal, from tirerack, what do you think?

Ive mounted and dismounted several sets, never got much feedback from the people who drove on them (mostly weekend drivers with little or no experience with comparing tires and such. Let me know, it might be a viable option for me......

Thats a newer tire from Bridgestone that I haven't had the pleasure to test just yet. From the feedback I have had thus far, its quite a sticky tire. Its tread design, wear rating, and original equiptment background shows its a similar performer to the Advan. However, I dont think the wear or noise levels will be that much different than the Advan. It would be a great choice as a lesser expensive alt to the Yoko. Good find

I keep reading glowing reports on the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires... At $156 or so they are not bad. You also get a $75 gas card with the purchase.... Anybody knows about these tires??

Awesome tire as well. Dosent have the dry grip like the Advans will, but its darn close. That tire will wear better and will be a bit quieter. I'd say its better than the S-03

Neal, I found the tire after searching by size on TireRack.com, but it didn't show up when I browsed by brand. Might want to bug your web site guys about that
