I had a set if NT05s that survived multiple track days, autox, and daily driving. I could not wear those tires. Horrible grip, though

Hm. I've never actually stopped to think how a tire looks. Interesting take.

If you're not in some competition environment, I would run 615k+ honestly unless you're some pro that can actually use tires to the limits but for street use, you shouldn't be doing that.
For someone looking for a good street tire that isn't extremely loud, what is a good tire for the evo?

I've got 340tw Continental DW's that aren't hooking well with my current power/final drive combination. They were fine with the 4.11 FD. but unhappy with the 4.31FD. I purchased them since it rains alot in FL.

Rate them 1-5 for 5 being the best, 1 being the worst.
Traction
Wet traction
Noise
Wear.

My current tires would be
3
4
5
5

How do the other tires stack up?

If you're after best noise and rain traction, I don't think the "extreme performance" tires will better than the Michelin Pilot 4S tires. I have the older Pilot Super Sport (Looks the same as 4S) tires and they were good for this years rainy season in southern CA. Granted we don't get much rain but this winter was a lot of rain and I drive 25 miles to work so I was on freeway a lot. I don't know how they will handle dry traction because I don't have a lot of power. Maybe check out the reviews on tirerack for the pilot 4s tires from owners of muscle cars and corvettes.

Scores:
5 (I don't know how to rate traction I never wheels spin)
4.5
4.5 (Does get louder with miles but still not as bad as a Extreme Performance Tire)
5 (Should be able to get 30k miles)

Bridgestone Re760 - TW 340
3.5 - pretty easy to hit the limits in turns. Squeal like crazy when at the limit
2.5 - Hydroplaned bad
5 - Super quiet
5 - Even after a number of canyon runs, the tires did not wear funny

Falken 615K+ - TW 200
5 - Have not found the limit on the streets yet
5 - Did a road course event in pouring rain
3.5 - You can hear them but its not horrible
? - Unknown as I have only had them on for a short while

I've ran the following summer tires Re760's(might not be summer maybe a level below), and Pilot supersports.

Going to rate as they were summer tires
Re760
Traction - 2.5
Wet traction 3.5
Noise - Car is loud as hell, hard to tell
Wear. - 5

Pilot Super Sports
Traction - 4.5
Wet traction 4.5
Noise - Car is loud as hell, hard to tell
Wear - 4

Honestly, all tires will heat cycle out before they wear all the way down.

For Extreme performance
615k, 615k+, Rs-4 and Re71.

Going to rate as they were extreme performance tires
615k+
Traction - 4 (didnt need to get warmed up, seemed good out the gate)
Wet traction ???(never got to drive them hard in the rain)
Noise - Car is loud as hell, hard to tell
Wear. - 3.5

Rs-4
Traction - 4 (3 if cold, needs to get warmed up)
Wet traction - 3 to 4 - Did one autocross event in the rain, seemed fine. Daily driving fine also.
Noise - Car is loud as hell, hard to tell
Wear - 5 for an extreme performance tire, they wear very slow. By the time I got to the wear bars, they were heat cycled off and grip dropped a ton.

Re71.
Traction - 5
Wet traction ???(never drove them hard in the rain yet, daily driving fine)
Noise - Car is loud as hell, hard to tell
Wear - 2 They wear almost twice as fast as Rs-4 tires.

Me personally, I would've stuck to Rs-4's over re71's if they didnt heat cycle out before fully worn out. So I'm just going to stick with re71's since so far a little under the wear bars, they still grip great.
