Volk Racing CE28N

Anyone here used Volk racing rims 18x9.5 in front and 18x8.5 in the rear .

Anyone has any idea for time attack cars ? What’s the usual set up and also for 1000m dash .

On a side note anyone has this rims for sale .

@KGB_Melbourne You have to stay w/the same wheel & tire size all the way around. You can run diff offsets front to rear but must keep the same wheel width & tire as that will affect the grip & foot print on the differentials

On another note, you should use our Marketplace for any WTB posts please sir

Thanks / Cheers

You might be better off to run a deeper offset in the rear (i.e. +35 or larger) and a shallower offset up front (ie. +30 to +25) but keep the wheel size & tire the same width

What ever the wheel spec is / was, they looked pretty nice. Probably an 18x9 or even a 9.5. Maybe a front spacer used? Rears dont appear to poking so maybe they were a +30 offset or so?

If I remember correctly there is no spacers in the vehicle as it was the time attack Varis kit .

so in your opinion you think it’s

18x9.5 et 30 in front

and 18x8.5 et 30 in the rear

Just from the look, im just guessing that all 4 were 18x9 or a 9.5" wheel at an approx +30 offset. Knowing the front fenders are not stock it certainly looks like they are poking more than the rears. Never have i seen anyone post up using irregularly sized wheels. Only different offsets are OK

understood , pardon my ignorance but from what you mentioned , front and rear should be the same .

Say, it’s “18x9.5 front and rear .

offset for the rear should be 30 and any idea what’s the front as it has varis fenders , I can get something to make it look more flushed without using spacers .

No worries brother. Spacers are certainly ok to use providing they are quality hub centric type spacers. The other way would be to run different offsets front to rear. For example, running a 18x9.5 +30 in the rear & 18x9.5 +20 in the front. w/no spacer providing the wheel spokes clear the front calipers.

You just need to settle up on a wheel that you like & do the research to make sure they will clear the front brakes. Im not a front spacer guy either but they are ok to run if you have to.

you can run staggered width front to back. I did for many years without issue. So have others. Even the cyber evo did back in the day. Wider in the front to aid in front grip and reduce understeer.

Stay same tread width and wheel/tire height though.
