Brembo rotors question
Brembo rotors question
Anybody put drilled rotors on their Evo without changing break pads?
If so, where did you get them and how much?
Also are the stock breaks (rotors or pads)
strong enough for driving schools.
I warped my on BMW twice last year.
Should I change anything before I go to the track?

The stock brakes should be OK for driving schools. It is HIGHLY recommended that you get the brake cooling air guides from Mitsubishi, and change the brake fluid to a high boiling point brand the day before the event. If you are a cheapskate like me, get the Motocraft heavy duty brake fluid from a Ford dealership. It has a 550F dry BP and only costs $4 per container.
It usually isn't recommended to use drilled rotors on the track (unless you have a Porsche or real race car). Most drilled rotors can crack with large heat cycles.
Make sure to bed you pads properly.
Brake performance of the Evo has been heavily discussed on this site.

I did two schools on the stock set up changing only the brake fluid.I now have the shakes when braking 80 and over.Just cool down the brakes after each session and don't use your hand brake at all at the track when u park.
