Son of a b$&# right front strut is out!
I had tanabe springs put on about a month ago and within the last week I have noticed a
very slight popping sound coming from one of the struts. So anyways today I got worse in
the parking garage at work, I decided needed to go in soon and have it looked at. Well tonight coming home from work it totally popped the **** out. Every bump for about a mile pissed me off. I get home and looked at the spring and it's o.k. so I remove the dust cover over the strut and the bolt is just sitting there with out being screwed on to the strut. Tomorrow I'll jack it up and try and put it back in place. To make it worse my co-worker and her husband were behind me in their new toyota corolla s and they were trying to race me, I pulled up next to the light and tried to tell them my car was screwed up but they took off, so I said damn that and caught up to them and flew by them. Then she said my corolla beat your car ha ha I thought what, anyways this was the same car a week ago I took her for a ride in and floored it at boost and she screamed when we took off. Damn I'm pissed about that strut though. I feel a little better that I vented now.

If your talking about the nut on the end of the strut under the hood DO NOT jack the car up. You will unload the spring and will have a hard time by yourself reassembling the spring. If the strut shaft is still sticking through then just put the nut back on. Sounds like it was not properly tightened when the springs were done. If you can't put the nut on then slowly raise the car and remove the strut assembly and reassemble it. You need someone to push the top plate down so you can start the nut but you don't need a srping compressor for aftermarket springs.
