Question on Tanabe springs
Hey,
I am currently installign a set of the Tanabe springs on my evo. I am wondering about the front springs though. After I took off the stock ones, I noiced that they go a half of a coil further around then the tanabe springs (the rear springs were not different). When I was lining the new spring up on the perch, it didnt look like it was going to line up right...I was not actually putting the shock back together at the time. Do any of you that have the same springs know if the tanabe springs are supposed to be not wound the same at the stock springs?
Thanks,
Mike

I put the Tanabe springs in my car a while ago. I don't recall having a problem like you are desribing. I vaguely remember that the upper mount has an indent in the steel that requires a certain location of the spring. Does the lower mount have a rubber insert that rotates? If so, you just have to move it. Remember to line up the holes in the upper and lower spring perches to get the correct positioning of the spring.
