FS: TEIN Flex w/EDFC barely used!!!
I have a set of TEIN FLEX w/EDFC off of my EVO8 for sale. They have been on my car for just 2 months. They are barely used!
Comes with all FOUR shocks/coilovers, FRONT UPPER PILLOW MOUNT, EDFC with all FOUR solenoids and all original harnesses.
There are some scratches on the EDFC due to installation. Otherwise, this suspension is like NEW condition.
Asking for $1530 shipped ground to all areas within continential US.
CASH and Local Pickup preferred.
PM if you are interested, serious buyers only, thank you
Lawrence

Agent-Smith: Just want to move on to something better than Tein, that's why I would like to sell them and get cash out for my new suspension.
Mksevo: PMed you.
Each shock has its own EDFC control solenoid (adjustment motor). So, you have 4 wires/harnesses to run to each corner of the vehicle. The harnesses are kept in full length and you can just put them back on your EVO without any problem.
All four harnesses will then plug-in to the four destinated plugs on the EDFC (control unit, the silver one inside the cockpit) for remote adjustment. The shocks can have up to 32 way of adjustment if you do it via the EDFC.
The Flex is a better/higher grade suspension offered by TEIN compared to their SS (Superstreet line). The major differences between two of them as follows:
1) Flex comes with Aluminum pillow upper mount on all 4 corners vs. SS uses your factory one. That means you don't have adjustable front camber for more than the factory allowed spec (i think it is 1.5 degree negative). Besides, the pillow upper mount should have a more direct steering feedback for the driver since it does not absorb the road imperfections like the factory rubber pillow mount does.
2) Higher spring rate on FLEX, the Flex system has 9/8 F/R spring rate vs. 7/6 F/R on the SS. Firmer ride and better handling for the track/high speed use.
3) A wider range of ride height adjustment on FLEX, according to TEIN site, the FLEX system has a wider range of ride height adjustment on FLEX over SS.
4) FLEX is a premier damper compare to SS.
5) FLEX offer more value for your money. The four aluminum upper mounts will cost your about $400 alone and if you get that with the SS system, you will pay more than the FLEX.
6) Less time required to install, FLEX system (especially mine) came with all Solenoids attached and are ready to be swapped with your factory struts/shocks. No dissemble of the factory units are required, so, it takes at least 30-45 minutes less to install the FLEX on your EVO when compare to the SS.
Hope these help!

thanks lawrence. I am very interested in the setup. when will you have them off the car. I have found some info on the internet and feel comfortable they will suite my need and driving habits. if we can negotiate on price we may be able to close a deal . thanks for the added info on the installation.
