Brembo Cross drilled rotors installed - WOW!!!
The parking brake thing won't warp your rotors, but never apply it after spirited driving or track events....yes its a drum.....but the pad is uses as well as all other cars can fuse to the inside drum part of the rotor....bad situation. I've seen it happen. I am in the process of designing brake ducts to assist in cooling..mine were heating up bad (i don't reccoment project mu pads for the track, although i do for the street). I know this is all alittle off topic, but knowledge is power right?
The Project Mu pads suck. You get what you pay for and they are 1/2 the price as the Carbotech pads and work 1/2 as well too lol. When you get done with the ducts please post it here, I was going to get some made but really don't have the time.

Yeah in a word...they do suck. Vivid told me they were as good if not better than the Ferrodos...they must have been overstocked or something..blah. I will definitely post pics..I am borrowing some ideas for air inlet off a porsche 996 and using 2.5 inch high temp silicon hose....it will be much more effective than the "air guides" that mitsubishi offers...perhaps cheaper too? I'll let you know!
I'm going with Hawk HP+ pads on my next change as a combo street/track pad, and I'm also working on getting some brake ducts setup (got most of the parts already from Menards yesterday, hehe).

when you install new rotors you are not suppose to change the pads immediately, you need to bed the rotors with old pads, and bed the new pads with old rotors. never both at the same time.
you just get improper bedding, you can get bad pad wear, bad pad performance, uneven accumlation of pad material (warped rotor problem) you can warp your rotors ect. all this leads to decrease in performance. and we all know you didn't just drop more than 500 to have less performance.
Sorry, I meant on a new car everything is put on at once on the assembly line so when it is driven for the first time everything has to be bedded in together. So do all new cars have this problem or do the manufacturers do something to stop it?

hmmm.... i haven't read anything about that but that is a good question, they might be prebed and i have heard of people on the forums advocating properly bedding your brakes when you break in your evo, but i have not seen too many problems with cars off the lot and bedding issues. there are quite a few people complaining on the forum about warped rotors though.
