Pirelli PNero Zero M&S Experience
Just wanted to share some of my experience with this tire since owning them for around 8,000 miles. The main reason I am prompted to write this comes from getting caught in a major thunderstorm tonight and what happened. When coming home from my friends krib ("novtec1" here on EvoM), I drove into a sudden thunderstorm that must have been one of Oklahoma's finest. Rain so heavy that you could barely see past 200 or 300 feet (a guess, just stay with me
). The road was super saturated, and luckily there was no one else on the road going my way. The PNeros definately held their grip, even when I had to suddenly dodge a big black 'thing' in my lane, which was probably some large dead roadkill. Under dry conditions it wouldn't have been any problem (that and I would have seen it from far away). The car felt like it wanted to hydroplane a tad, but my steering never broke. More like carving in the rain. I got home with a pretty big grin on my face. The only time I had my Advan stockers in the rain was around 10,000 miles and they were already worn pretty well. I was never scared more about losing control of a car until then.
TireRack lists the PNero Zeros as "Ultra High Performance All-Season", and I think that is what they are to me. Treadwear seems very good at this point, with no comparison to the Advans already. They look like a new set of tires when washed up. The durability is surprising because they *do* grip very well on dry pavement...however, the tires introduce a greater body roll than the OEM Advans by a somewhat noticable margin. It handles not as crisp, but definately a softer ride and less road noise. For the street and price, I don't know if they can be beat in my book.
I paid $127 a tire shipped from TireRack for my PNeros...and the only thing I regret is losing the "handling on crack and steriods" that the advans give. Now it is more like "handling on crack" without the steroids. One plus though is that it is a bit easier to get sideways when you want to transfering weight with the additional body roll...not that I do that sort of thing
Overall, I have been very impressed for the money I put into these tires. This review of mine is probably overdue, but I thank the Oklahoma weather for finally prompting me to put some opinion down in this forum. While these tires are definately not a track class tire like the Advans, they hold their own on the street...and to be honest, that is where I need them the most.

I had them on over the winter. They are really good in snow too. IMO they aren't as good as dedicated (Blizzak types) on frozen surfaces but they don't give up as much when it's just cold with dry roads. I would not hesistate to recommend them for a northern winter tire.
I am glad to see that somebody has given these tires a try.
What size did you buy, same as OEM?
I am considering this tire or the goodyear GS-D3. Except the "goodyear" thing is holding me back!!
The P zer nero & the GS-D3 tires supposedly offer very good grip while offering a softer & quieter ride. I dont mind giving up a little grip for a softer & quieter ride & last twice as long too!

The tires still look new for the most part. It is a softer and quieter ride, but the performance is not on par with the Advans. I am very happy with the choice I made...but if I do plan on getting heavily in autocross or track days (which I do wish to do soon), I will just buy some new rims and advans.

Should fit the wheel the same, their section width is identical. Pirelli hasn't published the tread width on that tire. So I cant tell you how wide the Neros are compared to the Advans
