RRE JIC suspension installed

Hey guys I just put the RRE tuned JIC coilovers on my car...i've had the suspension on for a week, and just noticed today that the front suspension is squeaking at very low speeds over small bumps and uneven surfaces. I have all the bolts torqued to correct values. Is this squeaking normal? Is there a way to stop it? Its really not that bad, but if anyone has any info on it....i'm all ears. Thanks in advanced.

On a side note even with the car not aligned yet...the car handles absolutely awesome...the ride is still close if not better than stock, but definitely more responsive and much less body roll. I would definitely reccomend this to anyone....i'd just like to get the damn squeak out!

note: the rears don't squeak.

because its hard to get ahold of them.....i can call them, but they usually want me to talk to John Mueller...who is usually busy doing something or is at the track testing. So I e-mail him and it takes a few days to get a reply. Kinda sucks...i guess he is just busy.

make sure the brake lines are not rubbing. John takes a zip tie and uses it to hold the line away.

I had similar speaking sound after changed the clutch. It turned out to be the downpipe was touching the lower front bar. Brought it back to dealer who installed the clutch, they corrected the problem. Just hope it'll help your problem.

That's your throwout bearing going bad.

Killasweep definitely get an alignment the steering feel will become even crisper and tighter.

When I installed mine I just tightened every thing as tight as I could (used an impact wrench on the lower bolts) and haven't had any squeeking so far about a month.

Hey, where did you get the torque values for the rear lower arm? I disconnected that arm from the lower shock mount and from the outer hub assembly (not sure what that is called). I need the value for the outer hub bolts. If anyone has them, please post!

On another note, when installing my JICs this weekend, I torqued one of the front lower shock mounts to 123 ft/lbs (think that's the right number), and the thing stripped.

Yeah I believe I torqued the rear control arm to 70 lbs. I torque the front to 123ft/lbs too, but it didn;t even begin to want to strip.

The alignment is being done tuesday by a race shop.

Now all I have to do I get the engine working properly. No engine mods...and it cutting fuel or something after 5k rpm

congrats on the mod. I have the RRE JIC's as well and they are pretty sick. Mine do not squeak, but I brought them in to get installed.

John helped me figure out how to get rid of the squeak....the brackets were rubbing slightly on the fender well.....my mistake naturally. I just got the car aligned today and holy $@%#@.....i am ordering the adjustable sway bar tommorow...just to help with turn in crispness. It good right now....i just want it to be extra ridgid

just to clarify it was the brakeline brackets that were rubbing...nothing to do with the coilovers.....just me.

Ah, how did you fix it? It looks like mine will be rubbing too. They are really close to the black fender plastic stuff, or whatever it is. I haven't had a chance to ride on mine yet. Still got to get the rear situated. I called John, and he was very helpful. I just have to find the time to do it.
