Newb to this whole thing?
I have recently finished my plans for the performance section of my evo, but now i want it to look good, if thats possible to make it look better.
So long story short, i want to lower the car alittle bit, enough to make the wheel gap smaller. However i have been warned by my friend that just throwing on new springs will wear my tires like three times faster, and i dont want that, is that true? So how can i go about lowering the car without destroying my tires or the comfort of the cars ride.
Also i dont know much about suspension so if any answer could be put in layment terms, or described to me, that would be great.

so then i would need new springs and i would need to have my car aligned? Can you recommend a spring that i could buy? Also would they make the car ride really bad, a friend lowered his Srt-4 and he said it rides like ****, will the same thing happen to my evo?
to my knowledge, Srt-4 already rides like sh*t...
J/K.....but the ride feels about the same, except it got a little stiffer(which means better), and i got the S-Tech Teins on...
for spring, they have the nicest drop......

So what else do you need, or is it just the springs? Like i said i dont know much about this. Also isnt that a large drop, does your every day drivability suffer any? Having to slow to like 10 MPH to go over any bumps, does that get anoying?
def get an alignment after the install... could save you a bit of wear on the tires... An inch drop isn't that harsh on stock struts/shocks usually... I never had a problem with blowing them out... some other ppl i know, that dropped their car 2" or more had to replace their struts soon after as the more pressure on them caused them to leak... I'm not sure how well the stocks on the Evo would be in the long run, maybe someone else can tell you their experience...
